My research explores the potentiality and critique artists’ books afford. It looks at artists’ books as objects of experience that stage a synergy of apparently clashing elements, suggesting that these are the forces that shape the architecture of the artist's book, and which are directly related to its subversive and critical nature. It discusses the critical concerns presented by the artist's book through the following trajectories: the aesthetic, the cultural and the institutional.
